Gint UK:- Glastonbury Medieval Festival (34) RE: UK:- Glastonbury Medieval Festival 29 Jun 00

that was weird I just pressed tab followed by space bar and it posted the half written bit

I hate this computer, I think I'll sell it, it doesn't do what I want Just what I tell it

Hrafn: we haven't forgotten you jsut a bit shell shoked after the Glastonbury Mudd-i-evil Festival(tm)I will be sending out a newsletter soon 'onest guv.

The gist of it is as follows, we had 14mm of rain in 3 days, the average rainfall for the month. Temperatures with the windchill factors reached -3c

A for instance, I brought with me 200 portions of fish which I covered with Ice and topped up from a black sack full of ice.

On arrival on the wednesday I dumped the black sack outside of the trailer and on the friday night I was able to use the ice in drinks

we had to cancel the show on the Saturday and I cancelled the rest of the show on the Sunday as the site was too wet.

The guys were brilliant until the Sunday when I informed them that I had been allowed to pay out £1,200 in cash (about $2,000)on the day,on top of the £4,000 ($6,000) I had paid out on the two year run up and that I was not going to be paid.

After I stopped them going down to "have a word" the site cleared in 1 1/2 hours.

I will not bring more of this bitch to the 'cat I will be putting up a humourous and possibly scathing but truthfull site shortly.

I will get my money as I had insured against my loss (it's a business thing)

Pictures will be following shortly

On a posative side the banquette for 200 people went well all but one of the entertainers organised by the Festival people cancelled the day before the banquette.

So we improvised the offer went into the bar that if anyone wanted to do a turn there would be a free chicken (pousin) and warmth, the warmth did it and we put on 4 hrs of ad lib entertainment including jousting on hobby horses etc. see Dermot for more of the evening.

They had a shorfall in numbers and said re-enactors could have the spaces so we did.

Vivo sang without amplification and were excellent and should be at Tintagel for the evenings

Must go work calls (quietly) I will update you soon Laurie
