Viens ici Batisse, on va bien manger ce soir Gene-toi pas Batisse, il sera bon, tu va voir C'est le temps de la grande visite Il's s'en viennent a cause de la fete On dansera aux vielles chansons Batisse, perdes pas la tete..... there's 4 more verses... it was just written last week in West Chezzetcook,NS inspired by a turkey living across the road from Adrien and Norman's sister Judy..... the style is definitely vieux 'Cadien... it also felt good to sing a bit in French at the Acadien village when I did the show with Stormin'... unfortunately not many French speakers left there..due to assimilation policies in the 60's..... but the pride is strong... and the people are great....
