Thanks to 'JohnInKs for the posts from the WV campgrounds. It is nice to have news from someone who is actually there with 'boots on the ground'. I appreciate it.
While it is true that 2008 was certainly a somewhat disappointing time, with folks scattered from Oxford to the City Lake, it was still a good time. We were like many other folks in that we paid for camping and electricity and due to the flood we were not able to camp at the fairgrounds. It was unfortunate circumstances, but I think the WVA staff and the city and the county did a great job of accommodating everybody as best they could. We have always found Winfield folks to be very friendly. We enjoy seeing our old friends, many who we see only once a year...at the festival. There is no better place to get together than at Winfield, mud or no mud. It is a very special place. Looking forward to this year.
