On the Googleability front - which wouldn't have been a consideration when the bands were formed - you'd think "Muse", "Yes" and especially "The The" would be terrible band names but it turns out they all come up first or second choice when I google for them. Even "Free" comes up fourth. I should think calling your pub/folk-circuit band by some popular pub name - Queen's Head, White Hart, Royal Oak - would cause confusion.
