There's Irish sessions every night, singing sessions a couple of nights a week, at least one old timey weekly, dozens of open mikes, coffeehouses sprouting out of the ground, concerts constantly. That far in advance your best bet is to try Billy Hocket's calender at ( http://www.music-for-robin.org/ ). The Boston Globe's Thursday edition has a calendar that has a great list of area folk music. The Irish Emmigrant has a good listing on the Irish music scene, the Boston Folk Song Society puts out a monthly calender. Hope we can meet up for some music.
