It strayed from the book in episode one of the first series! But as stated it is a nice piece of harmless television drama. Just think what it would be like if Holywood ever had a go at it! Just one thing though, has anyone else noticed that in the current series they have put yellow filters on everything? And for another discussion, Cranford strayed just as far from the books but stilled remains a lovely television drama. And filmed in Lacock too.
