It is correct to say that Girvan is a comparatively small town, with a limited amount of hotel and B & B accommodation, and many folk re-book year on year: but I should not let Jack's damaging comments re the campsite put you off: there was one bad year, since when security has been radically improved, so that there should not be any repetition. Anyway if you decide not to go there, I would definitely try to see Bill Adair.
