In answer to your question - sfmans from Powderkegs- each year at Upton there's a mad massed dance on Saturday afternoon in the 'arena' outside the Kings Head. All the sides join in but each does their own thing as far as dancing is concerned. The only common factor is that the musicians all play the designated tune which, this year, is Lily the Pink.
Often various very unmorris-like figures get devised and copied by other sides as the (lengthy) dance goes on. Picture utter chaos with everyone falling about laughing and you've probably got it right.
