Jerry Rasmussen 2010 Getaway Stories, Pics, Etc... (346* d) RE: 2010 Getaway Stories, Pics, Etc... 08 Oct 10

Like everyone else. I'm, still being flooded with wonderful memories of last weekend. Last year my basement was flooded, and it wasn't nearly as much fun. Ruth and I were reliving the weekend over breakfast this morning. Ruth is not a "folkie" but she's a genuine folk, and she had a great time. I enjoyed watching her and KT together... the dearest of old friends who'd never met before. I don't think we could have handled the all-night sings, so we didn't experience the festival in that way, but that doesn't mean that we didn't enjoy every moment we were there. I posted a photo on Facebook that I took at sunrise on Sunday morning and it's now frramed and hanging about my desk in my office. I may well use it on the cover of my next book. The story I wrote about the cane Judy Goddard donagted to the auction titled the Shepherd's Watch is not only a story now, but will most likely be the title of my next book. And the cane is leaning next to my desk as a reminder of the good time we had.

Like everyone else, I brought much more home from the Getaway than I took with me.

I also wanted to mention that Ruth and I thought the food was very good at told the manager of the camp.

I wish we were closer. The drive down and back were nightmares. I'll have to forget alot about that before I feel like driving down again.
That said, it was more than worth it!
