my old mum is nearly 80,
and too stubborn to move closer to us,
even though she agrees it's a better option as she gets older.

Which means I need to respond asap to today's 'emergency' phone call
and get on a train to go and retune her freeview TV box

[which has 'mysteriously' suddenly lost all her favourite channels],

so she won't miss "Coronation St." Omnibus on the weekend..

Oh well, I intended visiting anyway, but I really needed tomorrow and Friday free
to fix our bathroom shower that the wife's just broken..

But reading this thread,
if I visualise my mum as she is now at her age,
it sure helps put all the usual mudcat argumentative crankiness and cantankerous wilful confusion & misunderstanding
into much clearer perspective....

..anyone else need their box retuned ????
