There's a book called "Unmentionable Cuisine", which deals with various foods that are eaten around the world, with commentary on why some people would find some foods repulsive and many recipes. One recipe from France is for mice and cream. It's a real recipe, not made up for the book. It dates back to when the nobility owned all the livestock and wild game, and the working folks were reduced to eating vermin (which explains why people still eat snails and squid). My point is that someone should be able to answer the question that started this thread, providing they visit this website. I don't own the book, the copy I read belongs to a friend, so I can't give you the recipe.
