Al, it's been going on for too many years. There have been people murdered in cold blood, just because they wore the 'wrong' team colours. It's one of the many reasons I hate football, and also why I left the west of Scotland. Believe me, there is nothing scarier than being approached by some big neanderthal and his mates, and being asked the 5 scariest words in the Scots language, "Whit team dae ye support?" You just know, you're in for a kicking, nine times out of ten.
