Huh...somehow missed this thread. I got to see McGinty once several years ago when they played the World Folk Music Association annual benefit concert in DC. It was 2004, the year WFMA did a Stan Rogers tribute, and they were one of the invited representatives of Canadian folk. That was also the year that Tom Rowe of Schooner Fare passed away between the Friday and Saturday night concerts. McGinty was supposed to have a fairly short set each night, but ended up filling the Romanoffs' slot also so got almost an hour of stage time. Good stuff. I need to pull out the CDs again. -- Gary
