Thanks out there for the interest in the song "Unicorns". Your informant got the words and info just about right for once! The incident happened just before Christmas 1974 at the end of a long and exhausting tour with Magic Lantern and I was sleeping in the back of a smelly old van when I had the dream. I woke up just outside the massive chemical works around Middlesborough. Enough to make anyone weep, whether they'd been dreaming of unicorns or not! I actually wrote the song a week later just after Christmas. Hate to advertise...but... I'm partway through a retrospective album called (you guessed it) "Unicorns".
