Well, is it really that important that the "false-hearted" chicken said, "cock-a-doodle-doo" or sent a text message? The idea is still there that it warned the lovers too soon. Great story. Frank Proffitt's version is the best I've heard. No fancy chords or fancy arrangements. Just "salt of the earth" pickin' and singin'. Makes me hungry for fried chicken, biscuits and gravy. |
