I respect opinions of racists and homophobes. I assume they believe what they say and point out logically why I believe it to be racist or homophobic without making a personal attack. The personal attacks are contaigous. It is possible that a despicable person could speak the truth sometimes. Likewise the must trusted person could say something that is wrong.
