Size counts for very little in tennis - strength and fitness a lot more. What also matters is agility, anticipation, and the ability to place the ball where you want it - contrary to the anticipation of your opponent.

As for experience - well, everyone gets that if they play long and hard enough at that level. As far as the Williams/Watson match went, it came down to the line and could, at one point, have easily gone the other way.
