And, by the way, good art doesn't spoonfeed. It gives you work to do. But it gives you that work to do by showing it to you, not by laying linguistic obstacles in your path. Good art confronts and challenges you but it doesn't obstruct. Dick, with whom I disagree on a good few things, has set you a challenge that you just can't meet, that just makes you cross instead. Simple but effective. Giving you Bob's literature and asking you to explain. But all you can say is that it gives you feelings. No mention of edification through enlightenment.
