gnu BS: Gnews about Gnu? (65* d) RE: BS: Gnews about Gnu? 23 Dec 19

Mum passed Sept 23. I went into hospital Sept 25 for 44 days. The double vision was blamed on the left cataract replacement 'growing something' which will have to be removed with laser surgery. But that was just to kick me out. I am still weak and unsteady and require a walking aid - cane, rollator, walls or whatever. BUT, I have a physically disabled placard for my car, so the cold and snow don't bother me much. Just miss having a shower and freshly laundered clothes (the basement stairs have a railing built by garden gnomes).

44 days in hop - lots of grub; little exercise. Kept up the appetite with little exercise when I got home, so, overall, I gained a whole pound!

Re my absence, whilst in hospital, I was in a large three bed room with roommates that, well, an example will explain. Buddy next was having another drug induced episode and woke me. When I reached for my watch (why, I don't know), I spied eyes watching me... at bed height. My other roomy had crawled (leg amputated below left knee) to my bedside and was keeping an eye on me. BUT, I found North Woods Law on the TV in the kitchen/TV room, which I can relate to much better than Cops as I am The Emperor's Royal Game Warden. I even watched Family Feud once for about a minute.

So, things are getting better. Much too slowly for my liking, but better.
