I will admit that I am not a huge fan of Kate Wolf's writing. I liked her singing but not all of her songs. That said, when she hit the mark she was right on target. I also will admit I haven't heard her songs in 20 years nor have I heard all she wrote. If Kate Wolf is someones intro to American Singer Songwriters, they had a good introduction. Utah Phillips and Rosalie Sorrels thought well of her and that's a pretty good cheering section. My top five are The Trumpet Vine, Carolina Pines, Eyes of a Painter, Across The Great Divide, and Emma Rose. Don Meixner
