I found the song in the late John Thompson's https://ozfolksongaday.blogspot.com/2011/10/spider-by-gwydir.html John got the lyrics from Bob Bolton's post at Mudcat (above), and John's recording is on the page. There's not much in the Traditional Ballad Index: Spider from the Gwydir, The DESCRIPTION: "By the sluggish River Gwydir Lived a wicked redbacked spider...."
