Greg, I caught this thread after you left; glad to see you're still checking in.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned is the amazing number of Virginia winerys, especially as you head toward Charlottesville. We're still working on the reds, but some of the whites are fairly tasty.

If you role through Richmond, I recommend Rare Olde Times on the west end of town. Friday and Saturday nights feature the owner Andy Jennings playing Irish folk songs; Thursdays is our group Uisce Beatha, and I'm not really sure how you'd chactorize us.
