Tucker Is Gaelic making headway in Ireland? The inevitable answer is "Yes.... and No". The rural areas where it is spoken as a natural first language are shrinking -. but there is a move in some (largely urban) areas to educate children through the language - and this is going quite well. There is also a tendency to use the language for political purposes - which attracts some and puts off others!
As regards the "Scotch-Irish" - nothing wrong with that! They were!
