DEFRA = Department for the elimination of farming and rural activities. I agree, M'Lady P, it is a smokescreen. If the law is passed methinks there will be rather a large number of hunters who ignore it, either clandestinely or openly. When Blair and Co have finished with hunting, they'll start on shooting, then fishing. The "cuddly little animals" anthropomorphists rule - stupid b**ds! But bombing innocent Iraqi/Afghan civilians is OK! So is factory farming livestock! Consistent? Yes, being anti foxhunting is a "class" issue, it's really got b*er all to do with animal welfare.
