Claudia & Friends, Dalmacio Velez Sarsfield did have Irish ancestry. His mother Rose Sarsfield was a daughter of George Sarsfield, who was born in Ireland and arrived to Córdoba, Argentina, in the 1750s. According to E. Udaondo, he was related to Patrick Sarsfield. Ref. soccer, other clubs with Irish names are O'Higgins, Villa Fox, O'Connor, Murphy, Amstrong, ... Good cheers... Edmundo
