I'm truly touched to be considered part of this group, as the Internet seems to be rife with toxic personalities who apparently are frightened by different perspectives and opinions, and so far I have not encountered it on Mudcat (by the way, is that a kind of fish?). I know I am a bit of an outsider to folk, because I do believe it can be defined - in terms of a certain range of subject-matter and a certain world-view - and the concept is irrelevant to my interest, which is primarily song and melody as such (see http://www.druid.net/~rodney/). So Elsie, who would like to restrict the Forum a bit more, has a point - and if her recommendation is followed, I will just come less often or find another forum, with no hard feelings. But "Today, while the blossoms still cling to the vine, / I'll taste your strawberries, I'll drink your sweet wine. / A million tomorrows shall all pass away / Ere I forget all the joy that is mine. / Today."
