OK. Laurel and Hardy were superstars on both continents. When they officially visited London, legend has it the bells of Big Ben rang the Cuckoo Song. Their movies and short features were (are) hilarious slapstick comedy and were all over on early television, along with W.C. Fields and Buster Keaton, etc. But where are they now? (The films.) Is that stuff no longer funny, too tame, or what? O'Meara P.S. Peter Sellers was universal.
