Tony was a genuine source of great encouragement for all musicians who were fortunate enough to cross his path. Since living "abroad" in the US I only rarely had the opportunity to meet him but my visits to Belfast and the Glens will be the poorer knowing that he is gone. I hope the BBC and Sands brothers will continue the Folk Club show in his memory. As my old school chum Seamus says in this thread, he will be sorely missed indeed. Condolences to the McCauley family Frank Kennedy
