I would like this thread to be considered as closed. Thanks to everyone who posted and a special thanks to those who didn't thus allowing me to stay. An extra special thanks to the person who P.M.'ed me with nice things to say.

So there you have it, Love notes from 'Spaw, no serious flak and a bit of fun to boot.

I have taken to posting as my real name Dave Wynn (A.K.A. Spot the Dog) and will eventually sign on as Dave Wynn. I am not comfortable using a Nom de Plume but understand why people prefer them.

I would like to thank my Mum (Hi Mum) and my closest friend Dave Polshaw, My agent (who only takes 95% and has to buy a most inferior late bottled, early landed port these days), my recording engineer for the subtle hum in Eb he created all the way through my last CD ( at least he assured me it would be my last CD). The guy who sold me my car with no 2nd gear and 'Spaw for all the help and encouragement that only he could so eloquently deliver.

The final word must go to Spaw, it says all that needs to be said and possesses a finesse and warmth that could only be found here at Mudcat "just fuck it and take your sorry ass on outta' here you pathetically wasted and shriveled broke-dick mamalucca........."

If I am to meet my demise in just a few more posts then I would prefer it if there wern't any cross words about grammer (deliberate) on this thread what I am to go in.

Before that 150th post (I will need a PM of the address to send this seriously bad fizzy wine to) I hereby promote Alec and Alba to the A-List. I feel I am being maligned here. I don't smell of dead skunk. This is the UK and skunks only come in the two legged variety usually wearing hoodies.

I have a kennel club certificate (which makes me good for breeding)and my pups cost a lot of money (at least the two that I have have cost me a fortune over the years). I have a university degree (Latvia central) in Beano studies (£50-00 including the frame).

If everyone stops posting I would be able to stay and value add this esteemed Cafe. Otherwise if the 150 posts are made I will have to go forever and join the MDDL (are Old Spot still dancing these days?).

You woudn't want the champagne (type) wine in any case. It's cheap and nasty and French.

It's a terrible dilemma Spot I agree.

I vowed to leave Mudcat too but could not, even though nobody posted to my threads and any post I made to a thread would invariably be the last, i.e. the final death knell for that subject.

Heavens, even Gibby Martinson never insulted me! Well only relatively mildly and then only about my sexual relationship with my mother and apparent lack of a known father.

But could I go? I could not! I just have too much invested in antipathy to make that telling step.

I would personally be worried about 'Spaw's post of 9 February... I think the old BBBBRRRRRAAAAAAAAP! is beginning to take a shine to you!

Arrrgh, I am contributing to my own demise everytime I post. As I said in the thread title I really don't want to leave but man this is democracy in action.

If enough want me to go then so be it. I don't mind packing up my pitifully few belongings in a little red handkerchief and with a small sigh, walk out into the cold,wet,dark (I never liked the dark even as a pup) February night. Treading the hard northern streets looking for a kennel to call my home. No more friendly pats in the Mudcat tavern, no more love notes from Spaw. But if thats the consensus, far be it from this cold, wet, tired old dog to stay where is isn't wanted.

That should get em in the conditioned reflex.
