Subject: RE: BS: 2010 Secret Santas tormenting Santees! From: GUEST,Santa's overworked elf Date: 23 Dec 10 - 10:07 AM It's me again. I've done me best to deliver these presents and now all I can do is hold me breath and hope that the assistant elves do their job right in time for the big day. Barring folks getting totally snowed in everything should be golden. I'm hoping that the right parcels get to their owners as it can be a bit tricky with so many things to deliver and so many places that they have to be. As I figured, Christmas won't be the end of my toils. More stuff to be passed on afterward but I still reckon on getting me feet up with that bottle of plonk before I have to do any more work. Merry Christmas one and all! |
Subject: RE: BS: 2010 Secret Santas tormenting Santees! From: GUEST,MGAS's diabolically taunting Santa Date: 23 Dec 10 - 10:01 AM My dear Ms Hilary - I'm SANTA! Would I not know your full name? Wherever that package is from it's not from me. Your package is snug as a bug, awaiting your attention in two days time. My main elf tells me all is on schedule. I sent you a little something early on, through one of the elves. If what you have is a very small package then my elf may have got the name wrong - that little package was for opening as soon as it arrived so I would go ahead and find out what it is right now! |

Subject: RE: BS: 2010 Secret Santas tormenting Santees! From: Severn Date: 22 Dec 10 - 12:59 PM I got some feedback on the annual wee folks and fauna celecration in my little Townshack courtyard, from which, I am of course forbidden to join in with. All seemed to have a very good time with the provisions I end up providing each year (as well as the Quick & Easy Berlitz language lesson tapes so that Hash & McGhee could brush up on their conversational Squirrel). This stuff is getting more expensive each year. And one of these years they're going to get loud enough to blow their cover. The Hickory Daquiris flowed like wine as they placed bets on which one of the mice the clock would strike and sang "The Nutting Girl", "I'm Getting Nutting For Christmas", most of "Christmas With The Almond Brothers' Band" and allt of their other old favorite Yuletide chestnuts. The only rule was "No Pecan before Christmas Morning!" Molly Kitty was well fed in advance and had no room for a squirrel even if she'd been tempted to eat one. No complaints from the neighbors this year, who both seemed to have fortunately been away. As usual, a lot of the local wee folk (a bunch of off-the-wall nuts if there ever was one!) and visiting spy and scout elves were in attendance and exceeded ("Don't EVER say 'Dwarfed'!") all previous efforts chronicled on previous threads. Goodwill among species abounded. Lots of tiny bottles ("Don't EVER say 'Miniatures'!") have been recycled and all has been cleaned up and some local squirrelly girlies had their hearts broken. I eagerly await the Grand Opening first thing on Christmas Morn! Thanks in advance! Severn Hils, I know the "Spence" must be killing you, especially if you're an Artisan Partisan yourself, but GO FOR IT! Part of your just "Re:Ward" for processing (De-Spensing?) it. If it doesn't fit or is the wrong color or duplicates something you have already, it must belong to the other Hillary and should be passed on once you've passed on it, with a note that says, "Whoops! Honest Mistake!". |

Subject: RE: BS: 2010 Secret Santas tormenting Santees! From: JennieG Date: 21 Dec 10 - 04:05 PM Thank you Santa for those cheery and encouraging words, I hope you, the missus, the elves and reindeer aren't snowed in too badly....I hear things are not too good weather-wise in your neck of the woods.....why don't you spend one Christmas in Oz for a change? The reindeer might find it a wee bit warm, and the elves would need new bikini swimsuits, and I'm sure we can find some new boardies for your good self and something fetching for Mrs Claus. We may even be able to arrange for lessons in surfboarding, should you so desire. Might be a bit difficult though, I live a few hours inland...... Cheers JennieG |

Subject: RE: BS: 2010 Secret Santas tormenting Santees! From: GUEST,Jennie G's Jolly Jovial Santa..... Date: 21 Dec 10 - 02:57 PM AHA! Miss Jennie........I know you have been very good, my elves have been watching closely! I do however need to apologise.......due to the very adverse weather conditions here in the frozen North, neither the elves or myself have been able to get out and acquire the materials to create your gift. Nor, once assembled, have my elves...or the reindeer been able to get out to pass this on by pidgeon post. Sadly your gift has only been dispatched today and I fear it will be after Christmas before you receive it. This does, however, give you something to look forward to once all the hubbub of festivities has died down, and I hope that you will forgive us all our inept behaviour in failing to get said present to you on time. Time for a wee dram, methinks.......... Merry Christmas! Your Jolly Jovial Santa x |

Subject: RE: BS: 2010 Secret Santas tormenting Santees! From: Joybell Date: 17 Dec 10 - 04:38 PM Oh Oh Oh Oh. Ho Ho. A package arrived yesterday. It's "Royal Mail". Lucky me to have the Queen as my Santa. Or possibly you know that I am actually Queen material. Anyway thank you so much Santa. It's heavy and all padded up so squeezing and shaking it doesn't tell me anything. I'm keeping it intact until Christmas Day. Oh Happiness and Cheer. Joy |
Subject: RE: BS: 2010 Secret Santas tormenting Santees! From: Severn Date: 17 Dec 10 - 03:41 PM O squirreldly-wise Santa, I recieved a box in the mail today from a San Jose address that sounded like it was full of nuts when I shook it. I take it that this is indeed and in word the very Box (it had no handle, so it can't be a nut-case) that I'll get to Fanta-Santasize over until I wake up on Christmas morn. It just rattled when I shook it. I was half expecting to hear The Chipmunks doing the Nutcracker Suite or something else from the Squirreled Music section of the library, but I'm sure that Bushy-Tailed Secret Santa, You'll go down in Hickory.... ...Or get a McAdda-Mia Award or something. (Acorny joke, I know) Or some of Mrs. Margerine's Filberts.... I'm just trying to think of Folk-related things that squirrels might do, besides maybe fill oaks..... But thank you, and Merry Christmas (unless you're Jewish and attend a Squirrely Temple) I'll try not to overdo it with the nuts, as I tend to get Planter's Wart..... Your pleading "In" Santee, Severn |

"A germ of excitement", said your last polemic, But it turns out that you'll get a whole epidemic! I'd told you some time ago that I had mailed Your gifts, but alas it seems that fates prevailed. Mailing had to be delayed by aquisition Of a special last-minute new-minted addition. A follow-up to something quite dear to you That contains your Santa in a cameo, too. Huzzah! It is finally well on its way And will reach you without too much further delay. It will come to you in a plain box, nothing fancy You can open it early, if you're feeling antsy. Enjoy all in Spirit of Holiday Season For Your Santa considers you well worth the teasin'. |
Subject: RE: BS: 2010 Secret Santas tormenting Santees! From: GUEST,Jacqui's Elfine Enigma Date: 16 Dec 10 - 08:02 PM Well, package consigned to the post. Subject: RE: BS: 2010 Secret Santas tormenting Santees! From: Severn Date: 16 Dec 10 - 06:35 PM My family is so spread out these days that it takes a long time to take care of all the Christmas giving and gifts. I won't use the term "scattershot" as it is one that squirrels tend not to like for some reason. Don't worry. 'Tisn't THAT season! But anyway, I always keep the SS present around until the first thing on the morning of Christmas itself to make sure I've something most special to open on the actual day. Then I'll get to daughters, sisters, relatives and friends as I can and just hang around with Molly The Cat until then. I know that slowly, but squirrelly the bounty shall arrive. The house brownies Hash and McGhee who are guardians over my townshack usually are more on the lookout foe other wee folk to party with when they visit and don't pay much attention to the bushy-tailed folk, as there are are lots of local ones around all year, but they will make sure that special food gets laid out. Acornish Hen and maybe Hickory daquiris out on the dock to wash it down with. We'll see how it all goes down with them to see the local birds trying to steal THEIR food for a change. I bought an old VHS copy of Walt Disney's "Perri" to watch to learn more of your squirrelish ways. It is snowing as we speak here in Laurel, but it shall most likely all be cleared by the time of your arrival. Eagerly awaiting your arrival with a hot cup of Santee-Freeze to keep warm while you're staying a-nest-thetized in your nest until leaving time, Severn |
