Subject: RE: Bedworth From: My guru always said Date: 21 Nov 04 - 06:30 AM Just to remind you of the Catters involved in this wonderful festival (no wonder it's tricky for all Catters to Gather) MalcBedworth of course this Has to be first on the list, what an accomplishment!! Snuffy & Alanww (well I couldn't find a web-page under Men Acting Badly or Shakespeare's Mummers, but I think I'll be at the back of the audience anyway) Duellingbouzoukis, Moonunit & one poor non-Cat Isambarde Dave4Guild & shortybrenda (Dave Bennett & Brenda Hart) Leraud (Lynn Heraud & Pat Turner) Buddug (Vicki of Trefor & Vicki Willams) El Greko George Papavegeris GUEST Pat Spoons Spoons workshop leader extraordinaire & one half of Calennig Morticia & Herga Kitty (our gracious hostesses with the mostesses & in charge of Jack & Chocolate) OK, so who did I miss out of the performers? Anyone got any links I missed? Anyway, be sure to check the program & don't miss your favourite Catters! |

Subject: RE: Bedworth From: MBSLynne Date: 16 Nov 04 - 01:27 PM Well I'm not going to make it until the day before to be on the safe side...and I have to do something with all those alcohol soaked strawberries!!! |
Subject: RE: Bedworth From: JudeL Date: 16 Nov 04 - 11:55 AM Did someone say the magic word ........ CHOCOLATE..... , Green & Black's with strawberries & alcohol ! & it will last long enough for some to get to Bedworth.....Lynne I'm impressed at your self control & generosity 10 days & counting Jude ( rapidly drifting into a rather pleasant daydream in anticipation) |
Subject: RE: Bedworth From: Chris Green Date: 16 Nov 04 - 11:13 AM Lynne - I work with the little darlings all day. No thanks! :) |
Subject: RE: Bedworth From: MBSLynne Date: 16 Nov 04 - 02:54 AM D'you want a couple Chris?...you can borrow one of mine! I must say I've always been more into home-made! |
Subject: RE: Bedworth From: MoorleyMan Date: 15 Nov 04 - 04:11 PM Yep El G, Guru, at least, it's a date for Friday night then. Upstairs away from the lung-cancer will be fine..... CU there! M |
Subject: RE: Bedworth From: Chris Green Date: 15 Nov 04 - 03:42 PM Depends if you have any, I suppose! :) |
Subject: RE: Bedworth From: MBSLynne Date: 15 Nov 04 - 03:39 PM I wonder what the chances are of being able to bring children? |
Subject: RE: Bedworth From: My guru always said Date: 15 Nov 04 - 03:20 PM Haven't had a chance to check the program yet, but a bit of a meet on the Friday night sounds good especially as several people have other 'chores' on the Saturday. Suggestions re. Friday??? Time? Meet in bar or will we have enough for a session upstairs? |
Subject: RE: Bedworth From: Chris Green Date: 13 Nov 04 - 07:25 AM Isambarde alias moonunit and myself (plus noncat Em) WILL be there this time! Thanks for progamming it in Malc! |
Subject: RE: Bedworth From: George Papavgeris Date: 13 Nov 04 - 06:39 AM Thanks Malc! MoorleyMan, it's a date for Friday night then? Unless you fancied some of the other events? |
Subject: RE: Bedworth From: Emma B Date: 12 Nov 04 - 07:16 PM Lynne - I love you , almost as much as I love the sound of that chocolate. See you at Bed'uth - save me a piece I'll bring the cayenne choccie! |
Subject: RE: Bedworth From: Malc Bedworth Date: 12 Nov 04 - 05:57 PM Just a line to say, although it isn't programmed the upstairs room in the White Swan is available Friday night (if the pub lounge and bar get too busy with the locals) - you'll still have to use the downstairs bars. We have 4 other venues on the go too friday - twice as many as previously! Cheers Malc |
Subject: RE: Bedworth From: MoorleyMan Date: 11 Nov 04 - 10:00 AM Just managed to look at the programme on the website, sad to say the meet clashes entirely with one of my booked commitments - but I'm sure I could get to meet up with some of ye Catters on the Friday instead, hope so. Promises to be a great festival again this year, and v. well dun Malc for sorting venues against all the odds. |
Subject: RE: Bedworth From: Splott Man Date: 11 Nov 04 - 09:38 AM Looks like it'll be flying visit from Pat Spoons, Dr Price and me, we've only got an hour from 5.30 between commitments. Can I have a purple one, please? Do I have to book it? |
Subject: RE: Bedworth From: George Papavgeris Date: 11 Nov 04 - 03:24 AM I hope to be there for the first half hour - then I have other commitments. Perhaps we could also have a Friday evening session somewhere, for the early arrivals? On the other hand two Mudcat sessions might be too much for any festival! In any case, for the first time this year I'll be around for the full three days. |
Subject: RE: Bedworth From: Scooby Doo Date: 10 Nov 04 - 07:48 PM The programme is now on the website if anyone is interested. See you all on Saturday Afternoon. Scooby |
Subject: RE: Bedworth From: My guru always said Date: 06 Nov 04 - 12:22 PM Lynne that sounds absolutely disgusting! What a fantastic idea *grin* |

Subject: RE: Bedworth From: MBSLynne Date: 06 Nov 04 - 07:52 AM So you don't want any of my alcoholic strawberry chocolate then Morty......? |
Subject: RE: Bedworth From: Morticia Date: 06 Nov 04 - 07:20 AM Okay,I'll be in charge of gathering cats, Pixie will be in charge of Jack......should be fun..... Morticia ( who only works for purple Quality Street) |
Subject: RE: Bedworth From: MBSLynne Date: 06 Nov 04 - 07:19 AM I have something to lure Morticia away from the purple ones.... When I strained off the strawberry vodka I started during the summer, I was left with a load of vodka soaked strawberries, so I chopped a few of them up, melted some Green & Blacks, mixed them together and left it to set. The result is......well........beyond words! So..I still have a lot of the strawberries left. Being soaked in alcohol they should keep ok until Bedworth, so I will make a load of this wonderful chocolate thingy and bring it with me. How's that?? Love Lynne |
Subject: RE: Bedworth From: My guru always said Date: 06 Nov 04 - 06:36 AM Lynne: pissed? surely not.... MalcBedworth: Fabulous idea about the Festival donating Chocolates to the Gather! Hope the idea catches on with other Festival Organisers *grin* Morticia: looks like there may or may not be Purple ones? We'll see! PixieofDoom: Hope all is well with Jack & that he'll be bright & bushytailed ready for his onerous Twig duties at the Gather! |
Subject: RE: Bedworth From: MBSLynne Date: 06 Nov 04 - 05:09 AM Sorry...I was a bit pissed when I wrote that! Love Lynne |

Subject: RE: Bedworth From: Scooby Doo Date: 05 Nov 04 - 05:37 PM I am coming ,without the bicycle helmet and cycle rack with Splott Man AND Pattie spoons. |
Subject: RE: Bedworth From: My guru always said Date: 05 Nov 04 - 05:24 PM MalcBedworth: 10/10 for a valiant effort, many thanks for organising things so well for us MadCats!!! Reading skills are definitely suffering though - am pretty sure that the dubious honour of 'Jack-Handling' (heaven forbid) falls to the Marvellous Morticia on this occasion *grin* Looking forward to it!! So who's coming?????? |
Subject: RE: Bedworth From: Malc Bedworth Date: 05 Nov 04 - 03:51 PM Just a line to say the Mudcatters Meet is now programmed in for 4.15pm to 6pm in the (very nice)upstairs room of The White Horse, a new venue for the festival just a few yards from The White Swan, so it's easy to find! The venue will also host the Folk Club session from Noon to 4pm. The pub will also welcome singing in music in the spacious downstairs lounge throughout the week-end. We are at last able to start shaping the events list and running order (as we've got some venues to put the events in now!) and hope to have the working programme on the web site by sunday evening - click here for link. I've assumed Kitty & Hilary will play the hostesses with the mostesses from what they've been saying, and the festival will provide a box of choccies to get you going (although we might eat the purple ones first!) Cheers! Malc. |
