Subject: RE: BS: Dave Bryant From: Kampervan Date: 01 Dec 04 - 03:09 PM Dave Sorry to come in so late on this. Haven't logged on for a few days and I was really shocked when I picked up the start of this thread. At least I've been able to skip thru the bad bits and get straight onto the bit where you're on the road back to normal. Great to hear that the voice is not going to suffer but you really have got to get that arm back to full strength. Cos if McFat starts buggering around again then you may be called on to sort out Lord Raggytash in hand-to-hand combat. (Although thinking about it, you could probably do it with one hand - no problem). Take care and best wishes from Faversham and from me. Paul |

Subject: RE: BS: Dave Bryant From: Essex Girl Date: 01 Dec 04 - 03:52 AM Well, we've good news and not so good news (for some). Dave is being moved today to the stroke ward where they will do further tests and then begin to rehabilitate. There is no reason why he cannot make a full recovery but it will take time. But although he still has a 'dead' arm he can still sing!!!. So if you come up to visit him Slats you can make it a duet. (lets hope the other patients appreciate it). Linda |

Subject: RE: BS: Dave Bryant From: catspaw49 Date: 29 Nov 04 - 10:57 PM True Open Mike....it's just that the effects are most often head things but the causes are most often related to hematology and vascular problems which share the same problems/causes as heart disease in most cases. I tend to forget the first part and think of the last. In your case Dave, don't think about it at all......Just do what you're told! Spaw |
Subject: RE: BS: Dave Bryant From: open mike Date: 29 Nov 04 - 09:36 PM if it IS a stroke, it is a head thing, not a heart thing... lack of oxygen to a part of the brain...either from a blockage like a blood clot--or a hemmhorrage from a burst blood vessel.(too little or too much blood) Usually the opposite side of the body is effected (affected?) Hopefully this one is minor, and that Dave will recover soon. |
