I don't know whether to gripe at the results of the operation or to give thanks that modern medicine has kept you (among others) as well and sound as you are. As the Broadway song says, "I'm not dead yet". and shrimp scampi is worth living for. as for words, they've all been said by the previous posts. Good thoughts and prayers and midwest folkie juju are being sent out as I type, and the series of Genuine Purebred Midwest $#@!-reduction candles will continue when I get home from work. Well, he had Chinese last night, and shrimp scampi for lunch today in Kittery. He's eating well - not a lot keeps my sweetie from his scoff.

Thanks to all of you. Your messages mean a lot to us both.

We're home and settling down to decompress and take stock.We both need to come to terms with this in our own way. Kendall needs to be allowed into his 'sulking place' and left for a while in peace, and that he shall have.

We had a good drive home (well, I was driving so it was a bit white knuckle for the Cap'n.) It's nice to be back in familiar surroundings, although the rooms in the Albany hotel we use are becoming more and more familiar. It was a good thing we chose to stay there, rather than with friends in the area, as neither of us was feeling at all social last night.

We go back for the post-op in 2 - 3 weeks and, hopefully, can get more info then on how this goes forward.
