Difficult one - Hell is other people, but around here many of them seem to live in Hull.
On the whole, Hell's probably warmer, and most of my friends will be there, so it's the smell of brimstone and burning bottoms for me any day!

I must say i'm really very offended by all this. Here in Hell, we have put a lot of effort into ensuring it's the most unpleasant bottom-burning (we have hot curry too, you know) place in the known universe. I can't imagine this Hull you speak of being worse...

Hull cannot be Hell. The Humber estuary is the arsehole of the world and Hull is only part way up it. Hell, therefore, must be in or near Goole

Hull is worse - it is an intellectual version of the later but it is seriously lacking sex, academic study, any good beer, and one of which can easily raise to spirits to heaven. Hull is Hell.

Every time I see the thread title "Muppet in Hull" while scanning through the forum, I think I'm reading "Muppet in Hell." Very disconcerting -- my kids always loved Ernie and Bert and all them!

Crikey! That's a poser. That's a tough one. 'Ull is an 'orrible place, but 'Ell is no bed of roses either. I fink 'Ell might be worse, but that depends on where jOhn from 'Ull is at any given moment. As 'e is in 'Ull right now (I assume), it might be that 'Ull is worse off at the moment. It's 'ard to say.
