Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Calendar 2002 From: Bill D Date: 16 Oct 01 - 10:26 AM Carol C....I am 'designated' by alison to help people create calendar pics at the Getaway..if they are willing. I am NOT willing to get my bones broken by the UN-willing..*grin*...I have a digital with a tripod and remote contol...(just like your tv clicker) so YOU can even do the setup & posing and take your OWN picture with no one else in the room, if necessary....(If you have a satellite/laptop connection, we can even email it alison from the Getaway and erase it from the camera, so NO one ever sees it till its published...*big grin*...) we strives to make it easy, but YOU need to make it happen, as I will be too busy singing to chase you down and beg. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Calendar 2002 From: alison Date: 16 Oct 01 - 01:31 AM I was too shy to ask....lol... probably the same as you'd do with a low whistle..... slainte alison |

Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Calendar 2002 From: alison Date: 02 Oct 01 - 03:16 AM Liz... take it looking from the front of the motorbike, (ie straight along the front wheel to the handlebars)... you lie along the seat.... use whatever you like to cover your bum, (if you want) otherwise the handlebars etc will cover most other things...... *grin*... especially if you hang some instruments from them, (the handlebars.....lol) slainte alison |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Calendar 2002 From: Liz the Squeak Date: 02 Oct 01 - 01:15 AM Still haven't devised a way of getting the motorbike into it... Or the Bratling out of it!!! LTS |

MMario, where would you suggest putting the pom-pom Brett- sounds good. I've got some ideas now, myself, but I'd love to hear yours. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Calendar 2002 From: Bill D Date: 01 Oct 01 - 01:37 PM so, alison...if you get 42 pics, how will you handle it?...do we get to choose who we share a page with? *grin* |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Calendar 2002 From: Naemanson Date: 01 Oct 01 - 11:48 AM Carol, I will help you out by taking the picture! I will PM a couple of ideas to you. Don't want to spill the beans to the rest of the crowd. This year I have finally found someone who would take the picture for me so I am going to give it a try. How many pictures do you want to choose from Alison? |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Calendar 2002 From: MMario Date: 01 Oct 01 - 08:52 AM One of the long long long stocking caps? depends on where you put the pompom whether you look silly or sultry... |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Calendar 2002 From: CarolC Date: 01 Oct 01 - 03:56 AM Interesting idea, Micca, but I think I'll just look like a complete pillock if I wear your Matadore's hat.
Many years ago, my boyfriend at the time took a trip to Norway and brought back a knitted hat for me with a pom-pom that was almost bigger than the hat. He acted really hurt that I didn't want to wear it. Knowing him as I did, I told him I thought he just wanted me to wear it so he could have a good laugh at my expense. He admitted it was true. You wouldn't be trying to do anything like that, would you? |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Calendar 2002 From: Micca Date: 01 Oct 01 - 03:15 AM well CarolC, I have a little Matadors hat(yeah the sort of Mickey mouse one) and I defy anyone to look other than a complete pillock in it!!!Wanna borrow it???? and try and be the first person that looks really good in it?, |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Calendar 2002 From: CarolC Date: 01 Oct 01 - 02:30 AM Sure. That would be sexy. *g* Can any men help me out here? |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Calendar 2002 From: alison Date: 01 Oct 01 - 02:26 AM pizza? gondolier's hat? lol slainte alison |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Calendar 2002 From: CarolC Date: 01 Oct 01 - 02:25 AM I was thinking maybe my Italian accordion, but I don't know what sort of a mood I want to convey. I did sultry and dangerous last year. My Italian accordion is an off-white pearlescent. Maybe red stockings? But what to put on my head? |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Calendar 2002 From: alison Date: 01 Oct 01 - 02:12 AM I still think..... make a bikini out of 2 copies of Rise up singing.....lol slainte alison |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Calendar 2002 From: CarolC Date: 01 Oct 01 - 01:49 AM I haven't come up with a good idea for this one. Can anyone help me? I don't want to do the same thing I did last year, but I haven't come up with any interesting ideas for this one. I'm thinking in terms of accessories here, as well as pose.

Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Calendar 2002 From: Chip2447 Date: 29 Sep 01 - 12:05 AM I'd volunteer, but the S.P.C.A. wont let me release any pix like that of me. It's that whole dead, bloated whale that has washed up on the beach thing. I respect you guys far too much to subject you to that torture... Chip2447 |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Calendar 2002 From: Paul from Hull Date: 28 Sep 01 - 11:24 AM Well, folks, seeing as I wasnt even able to learn to play the Harmonica I'll not be taking part! *LOL* |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Calendar 2002 From: Les from Hull Date: 28 Sep 01 - 10:39 AM I've got lots of instuments: 3 basses, guitar, bouzouki, mellodeon and harmonicas. If only I had a bit more to cover up! OK, I'll try to arrange a tasteful shot of me and The Fragrant One. See you all in tasteful nude photo hell! |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Calendar 2002 From: Micca Date: 28 Sep 01 - 10:24 AM Jeri,in the pic I have already sent to Alison for this the tankard is NOT in front of my face!!!! |

Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Calendar 2002 From: Jeri Date: 28 Sep 01 - 08:51 AM Why am I seeing, in my mind's eye, a photo of some smartass standing in a majestic full-frontal pose, holding a mandolin (or perhaps a really BIG tankard) in front of his face? |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Calendar 2002 From: MMario Date: 28 Sep 01 - 08:43 AM the faceless nearly nude calendar? |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Calendar 2002 From: alison Date: 27 Sep 01 - 10:19 PM OK..... for those chickens out there... and for those who are worried about being recognised.... I am willing to allow photos without faces...... so we can have limbs and instruments, (I'd still like you to identify yourselves by your mudcat name if possible).... but that should rule out the worry of being recognised by "outsiders" send jpegs to alison@easy-pulse.com or PM me for a snailmail address slainte alison |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Calendar 2002 From: Steve in Idaho Date: 27 Sep 01 - 06:13 PM I just went and read the calendar thread - you want people sans clothes - I am fairly well convinced my Dear Sweet Wife would shoot me for that one - she'd be convinced I'd gone totally bonkers - What bravery for those who are on the calendar!! Hat's, only , off to you!! Steve |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Calendar 2002 From: Sorcha Date: 27 Sep 01 - 06:11 PM Norton, it's a "Nearly Naked Calender"....are all the musicans in your living room nearly naked, with all the naughty bits covered by instruments??? Intresting idea.......send regular pics to Pene Azul for the Member info pages. I got brave---JenEllen has mine--she is going to scan and send to alison.........o dear. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Calendar 2002 From: Amergin Date: 27 Sep 01 - 04:23 PM LTS...she posted her email addy earlier in the thread.... |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Calendar 2002 From: Liz the Squeak Date: 27 Sep 01 - 03:56 PM So remind us again where to send them? LTS - working on getting a bike into the picture without actually sitting on it, and failing miserably....
|
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Calendar 2002 From: Steve in Idaho Date: 27 Sep 01 - 02:00 PM Will a regular photo of one holding their instrument in a playing position work? Not having seen a calender before, and only being on one (the Harley dealer makes one with you and your new bike), I'm unsure as to protocol here. I have some of my living room full of musicians - What is the purpose - let me know - I'll scan some and send them if you wish - Steve |

Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Calendar 2002 From: Noreen Date: 27 Sep 01 - 08:54 AM With your bike and recorder, Liz, hair stategically arranged?? Or behind a bonfire of melodeons? We could borow Micca's camera at Llanstock and do some artistic posing in the Deri woods... Noreen |
