I've been on the summit of Black Coombe many a time. All I can see, usualy, is rain. I can see the steeple of Millom church if I am lucky. If I am very unlucky I can see Sellafield but not much further;-) Fantistic view North and East though.

I have seen all 6 kingdoms from the top of Snaefell though!

Cheers

:D

JOhn: go out and stand on the roof for a while, and I'll go out on mine and wave. I'm wearing a grey jumper if you cant see which one I am.

(OK, dont bother with funny remarks about "would you want to").
I was brought up to believe you can see the mountains of Mourne from Black Combe in Cumbria, on a good day. I dont actually believe this any more, I think there are bits of the Isle of Man in the way. But I am reasonably confident it ought to be possible from Sca Fell or Skiddaw. So, is there anyone in Ireland who can confirm a sighting of English mountains from the mountains of Mourne? Or vice versa?
I have asked this question before, but have never found someone to answer it. And do please feel free to divert this thread into any other interesting long-range views.
