In one of my favourite episodes of 'The Simpsons', Lisa falls for a 'bad boy'. Marge lectures her daughter, in the car, on the way home.
She says something like the following: "Lisa, some women will tell you that you can't change a man ... but those women are WRONG! Why, when I first met your father he was an uncouth, drunken slob ..."

Someone connected with 'The Simpsons' has a very accurate grasp of feminine psychology!

That would be pheromones. Sinsull opened the door with her title. I read the original post and I try to read all posts before I post. This is simply a spin-off of the initial post.

If the thread can get Spaw and others to chuckle then it is worth the effort. The subject is an interesting one anyway. Sinsull just perpetuated the discussion with her last post.

This is a good thread regardless of the initial intent. It actually serves several purposes while many threads serve no purpose.

LOL.....I haven't enjoyed a thread going off like this one since Rick was around. Rick could creatively name a thread then explain it in his post and then watch it go off somewhere with his mouth hanging open!

The only thing I will say at this point is "Thank You" Sins.....on several different levels. Michael had such a great day yesterday and every day is getting better.......smiled and laughed, joined in, played games, made a few jokes, talked trash with his older cousins on their level and held his own.........fun day. Dad and Mom have ceased to be the enemy but he has retained a bit of the flavor from this last period and we'll see how he takes it into the next.

Sins, if you can figure how to get someone to read the post and every post after that before they post themselves, let me know..........seem to be getting worse but it's always been a pet peeve. Beware the creative and catchy thread title as you would the Jabberwock.

The need to get fucked is a drive on both sides of the fence. Don't be so quick to attribute it to hormones. That is like denying that you have any control over it. That's pretty simplistic. I hate to, uh, succumb to your expectations of barrage-ment, but women are second-class to men because for centuries they have been discouraged and opposed in finance and education. Even battered women who want to leave very often do not because they do not think they can survive financially without their husbands. Women who do not grow up in supportive households are less likely to have the education and job skills to support themselves, and controlling men use this to keep them in check.

Some educated women do stupid things when hormones kick in. Many uneducated women do not. I'm somewhere in the middle and I've certainly never fallen all over myself for some guy. Not that I don't like men. I don't even dislike "bad boys", although I go more for an unconventional streak than outright "badness". If that means he has tattoos that don't show when he's in office clothes and drives a rat rod on weekends, fine.

Added to primal urges are the patterns of childhood, if rejected by brothers or father, a girl wants to get love and acceptance from the most challenging guys. Trying to win over and prove we are lovable is re-enacting the situation of childhood where we were rejected in our family.

The troubling aspect is women have evolved the ability to know, understand, and reason what they are up against, but remain "weak" to the allure.

We have all seen many intelligent women succumb to primal sexual urges at the expense of family, friends, and self-respect.

It angers me so many women are still so weak and accept subservience in this modern world when it could be their "oyster".

I think it is the "challenge" of getting someone bad to love you. It's a common mistake made in youth and people usually learn the lesson about it as they get older. Men are challenged by rescuing problematic women and women are challenged by rescuing (or catching) problematic men. It is a recipe for disaster, but most often it takes experience to learn that lesson.

Yaz Sinz, I enjoy the television show "Cops" and it's farly irdesistable as is the top ten hit "Bad Boys" theme song, as I find myself dancing about whenever it comes on and no it's time for the program to startup. I hed no idea that it wabz a folk type song and evidencely has been around for some time priory to the advention obv the TV.

I hope Spaw will let us know when the episode whar his house is raided come on and hopefully the censors will blurr-out his underwear if they drag him outta the house late at nite.

Not yet, Skivee. I can scan and create a jpg but can't link it to the thread. I have pictures of the boys since the age of nine (they were nine, not me). This year they are both young men. Amazing how fast it happens. I also have cartoon characters created by Michael. Wonder if he is keeping up his artwork?
Hope Spaw checks in soon. I would also like an update on Cletus, Paw and the Reg Boys, the ultimate Bad Boys to whom I am not attracted.
