Subject: RE: Resin the Bow From: Barry Finn Date: 19 Mar 97 - 12:50 AM Durning Abraham Linclon's campain Jesse Hutchinson, a member of the Hutchinson Family Singers, wrote the to words to "Lincoln & Liberty" in 1860, which turned out to be Lincoln's most effective campain song. The source for Jesse's tune is quoted to be taken from the Irish song "Rosin The Beau". Another of the many songs that use the same tune would be Acres Of Clams. |

Subject: Resin the Bow From: mgdaven@wf.net Date: 17 Mar 97 - 11:52 AM Trying to find the words to old Irish song, "Resin the Bow." I've seen an Irish version and would prefer the American version which I think is around. |
