Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Sam Collins' Midnight Special From: Stewie Date: 09 Feb 08 - 06:59 PM Roberto, your transcription sounds pretty good to me. The main thing I hear differently is the refrain: Let the Midnight Special shine YOUR light on me Let the Midnight Special shine YOUR ever lovin' lightS on me Also in the last line of the 'Nora' stanza, it sounds a bit like 'some', but I think it is his way of pronouncing 'her' [man]. On both occasions where you have 'ding dong rings', I think he is singing 'ring'. He also puts in an 'a' before 'little Nora' - 'come a-little Nora'. --Stewie. |
