Subject: Lyr Add: THE CHICKEN OF THE SEA From: Gene Date: 09 Sep 08 - 10:36 PM The Chicken Of The Sea Writer/Singer TBD In the hills of Tennessee, that is where I long to be Where the trees are tall, the roads are rough and rocky And a little house stands there, rottin' down from lack of care It's a dream house of this Chicken Of The Sea There was Stella that I dated, till she made a big mistake Then she said the two of us, would soon be three So I packed my bag and left her, joined the Navy, saw the world Now they call me the Chicken Of The Sea I dream about her often and the baby that we had And I long most every hour, just to go back home and see If we can't start a new life, live the way a man should live I can't do it, I'm the Chicken Of The Sea In the lonely ports I'll anchor with it always on my mind And a baby's cry will tear the heart from me Is it pride or lack of courage, am I only half a man And the answer is I'm the Chicken Of The Sea TAG: And the answer is, I'm the Chicken Of The Sea Give or take a word here and there.. Subject: ID SINGER: Chicken Of The Sea From: Gene Date: 09 Sep 08 - 06:39 PM I have an old 33 1/3 Rpm record that I cannot seem to find at the moment but I did find a CAS TAPE of one song from it.... It is a terriffic, kinda novelty country song, excellent back up music, but I cannot recall the artists name. It is by a male singer, not very well known, at least by me, and a kinda odd sounding name, if I recall correctly, and I DO NOT FREQUENTLY NOWADAYS. Any help appreciated: Email: CN8GV9@aim.com for mp3. Thanks G |
