Subject: RE: Hedy West / Bill Clifton CD is ready From: Big Al Whittle Date: 21 May 18 - 10:13 PM When I first saw Bill Clifton- must have been 1966 in Exeter, he had a young banjo picker called Pete Roberts with him. Is he still around? Does anyone else remember? |
Subject: RE: Hedy West / Bill Clifton CD is ready From: Thomas Stern Date: 21 May 18 - 09:29 PM Sorry to have omitted date and background about Larkspur - this "label" released many of Hedy's then out of print albums dubbed to CD-r, circa 2000. There are a number of posts about Larkspur - not entirely clear if any were authorized, probably not. The facebook Fledgling site indicates some additional (other) unissued Hedy West recordings will be issued at a later date, they know about the unissued Topic album, maybe they may be persuaded to release it. I think much depends on the sales of her new Grammaw album. The MainlyNorfolk site has a good list of Hedy's recordings https://mainlynorfolk.info/folk/records/hedywest.html I've posted to mudcat in various threads what I know of the reissues. Cheers, Thomas. |
Subject: RE: Hedy West / Bill Clifton CD is ready From: Reinhard Date: 21 May 18 - 02:49 AM OK, I should have remembered the thread New Hedy West CDs about the Larkspur bootlegs. But thanks for the tracklist anyway. |
