I hope FIESTA is shown at a decent time PDT. I especially enjoy the Mexican folkloric dancing between Ricardo Montalban and ... Cyd Charisse.

She made the news in recent years when discussing synchronized swimming, but also because she designed (worked with designers, one imagines) a line of very practical, attractive, and well-constructed swimming suits for women of various body types. Meant to be worn in the water for swimming.

MoH--Ms Williams' flicks appear fairly regularly at TCM (Turner Classic Movies), and I'm sure that in the next week or so they'll dedicate a day to her.

Did enjoy Esther Williams movies back in my teenage years. Helped make those long trips to town for groceries worthwhile. Somehow she also managed to keep her name out of the scandal sheets.

Died in her sleep. 91 years old.
