With many great thanks to John I am now the owner of a wonderful 10 string Portuguese Mandola.

We had a great afternoon in a bar in Kenmare where we talked like very old friends for a couple of hours, played a couple of songs AND with any luck John got a booking out of it.

Once again John,Thank you. "Shorty" will be cherished!!

Hi Jack not budget instruments. lovingly cared for instruments that we have had for some 20 years. Made for us by Roger at fylde guitars and well treasured and loved instruments. Mostly used for recording, and very rarely gigged. Having to downsize, that's why they are up for sale. Also have a couple of fylde guitars, goodfellow and orsino that may be coming on the market soon. It's a bit like selling your children! All the best John

I thought Fylde instruments were usually worth more than that? Are these budget models?

While we're on bouzoukis - who got Alec Finn's trichordo?

Hi John,

Drink had been taken when I replied to you. It is the Bouzuki I am interested in. (would like the mandola too!)

If you still have it I could come down to Glengariff on Tuesday.

I will PM you now.

I will be in the Athlone area for a week from the 20th.
I am interested in the bouzouki.
Could we meet up somewhere?
Roger.

Hi John, don't know if you remember us. Nick & Christine who brought a group of people to Glengarriff and the Top of Coom some years ago. I am interested in the Mandola and I am in ireland at the moment. Please PM me.

Hi I hope this is an acceptable thread. I have 2 Fylde instruments, A Fylde Portuguese Mandola, (10 string). In a custom case. An amazing sound.C G D A . It's around 20 years old and has been loved like a baby. New condition, Appraised at around £500, Am selling for £375.
And a Fylde Octavius Bouzuki, In original hard Case. Mandolin tuning G D A E. Again £375.
Both instruments in as new condition.

I'm just not sure where would be the best place to advertise them. If anyone has any ideas. I would be most grateful. I am based in south west Ireland. Near to Killarney but will be visiting UK in the next few weeks.

Thanks in advance John
