Subject: Origins: Bob-A-Needle Meaning of the phrase???? From: MickyMan Date: 22 Sep 19 - 08:05 AM This is a very familiar refrain in children's games ...... etc. (There are already many examples on other threads. Just curious about the phrase itself) I'm just really wondering what it is referring to. Are its origins with hand sewing, or factory machine bobbin shifting, or somebody's name, or a nonsense rhyme ???????? So many possibilities come to mind. Does anybody have some info? |
