Subject: RE: Jug band music From: Dale Rose Date: 25 Sep 97 - 12:51 PM If it is old time jug band music you are looking for, then I would certainly recommend Cannon's Jug Stompers on Yazoo 1082/3. The recordings were made in 1928 and 1929 and include the original version of Walk Right In. Just a few more are Minglewood Blues, Feather Bed, Pig Ankle Strut, Going To Germany. . . The CD has 24 cuts, but an earlier lp version on Herwin had many more because it included alternate takes as well. |

Subject: Jug band music From: Boston Boy Date: 25 Sep 97 - 10:21 AM Does anyone know, or have, the words to a song called, "The Eggplant That Ate Chicago"? It was a silly bit of drivel from the 60's, that was played by a jug band. The chorus went:
