Subject: RE: BS: SonOfABush is not a Superhero From: Don Firth Date: 12 Mar 03 - 06:00 PM I was never really too gung-ho on Superheroes. My favorite was always Batman. He was a normal guy (well . . . normal millionaire) with a fierce sense of justice who trained himself in gymnastics and the martial arts and adopted a dark costume with a spooky persona that allowed him to lurk unseen in the shadows and catch bad buys in the act. SonOfABush is not a Superhero, he is a Subhero. Endowed at birth with the brain of a chinchilla, he is totally powerless. Like Howdy Doody, he could not move at all without Wolfowitz. Rumsfeld, or Perle manipulating his strings. Or like King Friday, with Wolfowitz's, Rumsfeld's, or Perle's hand up his bum. . . . really belongs in a comic book. . . . Don Firth |

Subject: BS: SonOfABush is not a Superhero From: CraigS Date: 12 Mar 03 - 04:45 PM I always felt sorry for Green Lantern. He was not allowed to be a superhero because his power had to be renewed from an external source. Then I thought about SonOfABush. He has one superpower - but he has to renew his control of it from time to time, using Dimpled Chads as a power source. He is not, therefore, a superhero. But I think the biggest difference between Green Lantern and SonOfABush, though, is that Green Lantern learned to control his power and use it for the benefit of mankind - am I right? |
