This child is going to be exposed to as much music of all sorts as we can manage. We warned Emily that we were going to do this and her reply was, "I'm expecting it." Nice kid, that.

I have sent a picture to Pene Azul for posting, will link to it when it is done. Emily and Halla went home from the hospital on Sunday. Everybody is nice and healthy. The kid has a good set of lungs on her, though.

I won't be able to post my only picture until Monday. By the time I got in to see her, they had taken Halla to the nursery. Consequently, I have a picture of the nurse holding her up through the glass. I'll send it to Pene Azul to post on the Mudcat photos page. We're trying to get down there again next weekend to see them and I'll get more photos then, I promise.

Another Mudcatter has entered the joyous world of grandparenthood. My daughter Emily today presented the world with Halla Starr Jones, the world's most beautiful baby (No, I'm not prejudiced a bit). Halla came in at 6 1/2 pounds and 18 inches long and is just as cute as a bug. Emily is just great and Charles managed to survive. The happy grandparents are resting at home with a few beers to celebrate.

Life is good.
