Subject: RE: Naciones Celtas - piping CD info request From: GUEST,piper42 Date: 07 Nov 04 - 08:29 AM Shanghaiceltic, I didn't get a chance to see the cd sleeve or notes but there were recordings of pipes from around the world. Uilleann pipes, usually I can tell by listening, who the uilleann piper is but this time I couldn't but he or she was damn good. I did recognise the Battlefield band and I think the Northumbrian piper was Kathryn Tickell but after that I was beat. cheers eoin |
Subject: RE: Naciones Celtas - piping CD info request From: Shanghaiceltic Date: 06 Nov 04 - 06:45 PM Who was on the CD? Was it Carlos Nunez or Hevia. Both are good Galician pipers and there is plenty of CD's around with their music on. |

Subject: Naciones Celtas - piping CD info request From: GUEST,piper42 Date: 05 Nov 04 - 04:01 PM I have just returned from a holiday in Spain were I heard a fantastic cd being played in a cafe. I asked for the name of the cd but the sleeve was missing and all I could do was copy down the info on the actual disc: NACIONES CELTAS - 100 Pipers Scotch Whiskey. The whole cd was bagpipes from various parts of the world. I asked if they would sell it but was given a 'short shift' and the cd was removed from my sweaty hands for safety reasons.(as if I would pinch it!!) Can any mudcatters help? has anyone heard it or know where I can get it. cheers piper42 |
