Subject: RE: Lyrics? - Rachami/d a Bhean Bheag From: Martin Ryan. Date: 24 Nov 98 - 02:43 PM I haven't heard Kevin sing it but I suspect it was her clothes she was wringing! Its a version of "Spanish Lady", of which there are a few versions in the DT. Sounds like one Frank Harte does as "Chester City", with Kevin localising it elsewhere as the humour/occasion strikes.

Subject: Lyrics? - Rachami/d a Bhean Bheag From: cleod Date: 24 Nov 98 - 11:48 AM Just wanted to know if anyone's got the lyrics and song title of the bit Kevin Conneff sings in the last track of "An Irish Evening" (Rachami/d a Bhean Bheag is the title of the instrumental that leads to the solos, I think.) I've got the first two stanzas and they go like this:
As I walked out through Belfast City
First she washed them and then she squeezed them Sla/n! cleod |
