Subject: BS: Bush law to protect Homer Simpson From: Donuel Date: 27 Apr 05 - 07:32 AM For Earth day George W got a present of passing his Cheney energy bill that opens up The Alaskan wilderness to oil drilling and cutting taxation to all Oil Companies as well as giving special subsidies to the oil companies that are now making all time record profits. Starting this week however the bush administration kicks off their new energy campaign to build dozens of new refineries and Nuclear Plants. ***Included in the new bill is the provision to drop existing safety regulations for the construction and operation of Nuclear Plants.*** All in all good news for Homer Simpson who is the safety engineer for the plant in Springfield. I do not know of a single Nuke Plant that does not already selectively ignore existing regulations with a wink and nod of the Energy Dept. Yahoo - no more regulatory Delay. In short they are all an average of 30 years beyond the originally established operational dead line of safe operation due to old age of rapid deterioration of the containment vessels which age many times faster than normal metal due to embrittlement factors caused by the bombardment of radiation. No brainer question of the day: Do you thank they will build breeder type reactors to refine plutonium? |
